Today Obama lifted the restrictions Bush had placed on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. US law did prohibit federal money from being used to use human embryonic stem cells for research, but Obama's lift on the ban will change that. Now we can expect some of our tax dollars being spent on destroying human life.

I realize that different people have different ideals and beliefs, but since we did I vote for my tax dollars being spent on murder? Embryonic stem cells can't be removed without destroying the fetus. Some proponents argue that the cells can be removed from already-dead fetuses from an abortion clinic, but then not everyone agrees with abortion clinic either.

Proponents often say that placing restrictions on embryonic stem cell research is akin to placing a ban on science. They often overlook the fact that scientists have been just as effective in researching other types of stem cells that don't require destroying a life. It has been proven that the stem cells retrieved from sources like bone marrow exhibit the same multi-directional growth abilities as embryonic stem cells.

Don't take life to save life! Don't spend my tax dollars on murder! Write to your Congress men and women and tell them you do NOT support this ban lift!
