“No Real Recovery”
Obama, CEOs May Have Hidden Agenda
Obama believes the executives that helped destroy the economy might be able to help fix it. There isn't much logic in this decision, and there really isn't a reason why these ultra-rich executives would want to help regular American people instead of themselves.
To help figure out how to recover from the economic downturn, Mr. Obama invited 15 CEOs from the largest banks in America to the White House.
These are the same executives that helped tank our nation with their own greed, and now they are being given another opportunity to do the same thing. Why would you invite the people responsible for destroying the economy to a discussion that aims to help fix it? This is just doesn't make sense.
The companies and executives Obama invited to the White House have already proven that they care more about their own greed than they do about the American people. Instead of giving average people a fair deal, they take advantage and spend money on bigger and better yachts.
Sure, the American people should shoulder just as much of the blame for being dumb enough to be taken advantage of, but you don't see any of them being invited to White House.
The bank CEOs say they were there to work together, but for what purpose? If a bunch a rich bank executive go into a room to work together, they'll probably work together to help themselves.
If anything, this meeting was to figure out how CEOs can keep the money they have and take more from taxpayers. Obama got a lot of campaign donations from the rich, and it wouldn't be surprising if he tried to return the favor by helping them out.
If you want to help fix the economy, invite 15 experts on economics to the White House and talk to them. At least experts don't have an obvious agenda that goes against what Obama claims he is trying to do.
What went on in the meeting might not be what the Obama administration and bank CEOs wanted you to believe.
